The Commandments of the Misfits.

Hey y'all! River here. There are only ten rules you need to follow on here.

1. Be respectful to others. I cannot state this enough. A Misfit wouldn't be rude or put down other Kelly lovers! This includes, but is not limited to: calling people names, insulting others, intentionally starting arguments, using hurtful sarcasm, and publicly criticizing staff members.

2. Please, no spam! Spam is awfully annoying to get rid of, and people don't like their forums cluttered up with mindless posts. Refrain from spamming and everything will run smoothly!

3. Don't tell people your full name, address, etc. Who knows what kind of shenanigans could happen if we allowed people to tell their first and last name, what school they attend, where they live...a general area and your first name is fine, of course. For example, your main admin River's first name is Mckenzie, and she lives in Ohio.

4. Flaming others! Posts of this nature can really be hurtful. We won't tolerate attacks based on race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, or political affiliation. Personal threats or harassment are not tolerated.

5. Non-PG-13 discussions aren't allowed. R-rated fanfics will be placed in the appropriate subforum of course, but, well, we have to say it. Posts containing overt cussing, explicit nudity and sex references, illegal substance use, and violence will be removed immediately. External website links that lead to these specifically (for example, porn sites) will also be removed. If you don't know whether a certain word, image, or link is allowed, message me before you use it. This applies to all forums, threads, posts, private messages, user pages, profiles, avatars, and signatures.

6. Bumping your thread so that it is moved to a higher position in the forum to be more noticeable to others is allowed. However, please remember that bumping is only allowed after a thread has been inactive for 12 hours.

7. Backseat moderating occurs when a user who is not on staff attempts to reprimand another user. Backseat moderators publicly point out that a user is breaking a rule or quote the rules in a post to warn other users. Please, if you feel a post is breaking a rule, report the post, or message one of your awesome mods!

8. Off-topic posting in a thread! While we expect that some topics will stray a bit, if it completely hijacks the thread, those posts will either be removed or split into its own thread, and extremely discouraged.

9. Trolling. Don't do it. Intentionally posting false arguments, flames or personal attacks for no other purpose than to incite a negative reaction, annoy others or disrupt a discussion is prohibited.

10. Ship bashing is not prohibited. It's understandable if you voice your opinion about a pairing, whether you dislike it or you adore it, but no negative or derogatory remarks are necessary. Imagine how boring it'd be if we all liked, say, Kraham or Silly String! Therefore, please, be respectful of everyone's shipping opinions!
